Typing Test is a free suite of typing tools offering a typing speed test, typing practice, and long-text typing practice.
Everything runs only in your browser, and what you type and your results are never sent to or stored on a server.
What is Typing Test
Typing Test (typing.moneycomon.com) is a free suite of tools that helps students, professionals, and beginners build their typing skills right in the browser, with no sign-up or software install. As you type along with a prompt, it shows your typing speed (WPM) and accuracy in real time and color-codes correct and incorrect characters so you can fix mistakes instantly.
The tools we offer
- Typing Speed Test — Type along with a short prompt to measure your burst speed and accuracy.
- Typing Practice — Repeat English or Korean sentences one at a time to build the fundamentals.
- Long-Text Typing — Type a full passage to the end to train endurance and a consistent speed.
- How to Type Faster — A guide to posture, finger placement, and practice routines.
How speed is measured
Typing speed is expressed as WPM (words per minute), counting every five keystrokes as one word. In English each keystroke is a single key press. Korean is different — one syllable is built from initial, medial, and final letters — so a syllable with no final consonant converts to 2 keystrokes and one with a final consonant to 3 keystrokes, while letters, numbers, and symbols count as one keystroke each. Accuracy is the percentage of your typed characters that match the prompt by position and value.
Measured values are reference figures that can vary with the prompt difficulty, how speed is measured, and the keyboard. Your numbers may differ from other typing test sites, so we recommend using them to track your own improvement trend rather than as absolute values.
Our principles
- Free & install-free — Anyone can use it straight from the browser with no sign-up or app install.
- No data collected — The sentences you type and your results are processed only in your browser and never sent to or stored on a server.
- Transparent math — We openly publish how keystrokes are converted and how accuracy is calculated.
- Accessibility — Designed with keyboard use, mobile screens, and screen readers in mind.
